Mr.Najeeb Jung who was till recently the Vice-Chancellor of the Jamia Millia Islamia is now the Lt.Governor of Government of NCT of Delhi. Mr.Jung who took over as the Vice- Chancellor of the Jamia Millia Islamia on 3 September, 2009 was sworn in as the Lt.Governor of Delhi on July 9, 2013. Mr.Jung who was the thirteenth Vice-Chancellor of Jamia remained in office for almost four years and strived to integrate the values of transparency, objectivity and honesty in the day to day functioning of the University. The entire Jamia community feels proud on his appointment and wishes him best for the new assignment.
