One among them is the MASS group of educational institutions established and managed by M.A.S. Subbaiah Chettiyar Educational and Charitable Trust. The group institutions comprise of MASS College of Education, MASS Teacher Training Institute, MASS College of Arts and Science and MASS Polytechnic College. The College of Education was started in 2004 September and M.Ed., degree course was introduced in the September 2007. The teaching faculty comprise of efficient and experienced staff members. The laboratory and library facilities are incomparable in the vicinity of Kumbakonam.
