Rathnavel Subramaniam College of Arts and Science affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, started as first self financing college under Bharathiar University in 1986, is located adjacent to the Coimbatore - Trichy highway at Sulur, enshrined in a sprawling campus encircled by enchanting greenery. Within a brief span of two decades the college has developed as one of the largest self financing colleges in Coimbatore region in terms of student strength, number of academic programmes and faculty strength. The college got NAAC accreditation in 2001at four star level and then attained B++ status on reaccreditation in 2007. The college was granted Autonomy in September 2004. Autonomy has ushered in more responsibility, respectability and accountability to the college.
