Both the institutes (VTTI & SVTTI) are sponsored by Angammal Educational Trust. Sree Krishna Teacher Training Institute for Women sponsored by Krishna Educational Charitable Trust was started in the year 2006. The two year Diploma in Elementary Teacher Education (D.T.Ed) is duly approved by NCTE and recognized by Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
