About K.R. B. Girls College :
Kamakhya Ram Barooah Girls' college, situated at M. B. Road, Fatashil, Guwahati was established on 14th April, 1971 with the objective of advancement of women education in the western part of Guwahati. The people of this western part of Guwahati long felt the need of such an institution in this area. Accordingly initiative had been taken by some prominent citizen of the locality.
