Shree Jayendrapuri Arts & Science College, Bharuch was established in 1955 by the S’ad Vidya Mandal on the bank of holy river Narmada. The need for higher educational institution was felt by Revered Swami Atulanandji Maharaj as no initiative was taken to start a college in the peanut city of Bharuch. Atulanandji Maharaj announced his intention to start the much needed college in Bharuch and subsequently the S’ad Vidya Mandal established Shree Jayendrapuri Arts & Science College beginning with Arts faculty in 1955 and Science faculty in 1958.
